Troubleshooting
| Problem | Fix |
|---|---|
| “Something went wrong” during setup | Switch to manual configuration. Auto-detect often fails with custom domain email |
| Can’t send (stuck in Outbox) | Verify SMTP settings: port 465 with SSL/TLS. Make sure SMTP authentication is enabled |
| Receiving but can’t send | Same as above. The SMTP server requires authentication with your full email address and password |
| Duplicate emails | If using both POP3 and IMAP, pick one. IMAP syncs, POP3 downloads. Using both creates duplicates |
| “Certificate error” | Use mail.yourdomain.com as the server hostname, not the server’s machine hostname |
| Emails arriving late | IMAP syncs periodically. Outlook desktop can be configured to sync more frequently in Send/Receive Groups |
