If you're moving from a hosting provider using cPanel to GOZEN HOST's new Enhance Control Panel, the migration process can be smooth and fast — especially if you have access to your old hosting account.
Currently, the recommended method is using a full cPanel backup (cpmove file). SSH import is restricted to privileged users and not commonly available.
- Log in to your cPanel at your current hosting provider.
- Under the Files section, click on Backups.
- In the Full Backup section, choose Download a Full Account Backup.
- Set Backup Destination to Home Directory, and click Generate Backup.
- Wait until the backup is complete.
- Once ready, go back to the same Backups section — under Backups Available for Download, click to download your backup file (e.g.,
cpmove-username.tar.gz
).
💡 This file contains all your website files, databases, email settings, and more.
¶ ⬆️ Step-by-Step: Upload and Import the Backup in Enhance
Once you've downloaded your cPanel backup:
- Log in to the Enhance Control Panel via your GOZEN HOST account.
- Navigate to Websites > Import Website.
- Choose Import from cPanel.
- Upload the backup file you downloaded (
cpmove-username.tar.gz
).
- Follow the prompts — the system will:
- Extract your website files
- Restore databases
- Attempt to rebuild mail accounts (if applicable)
Once completed, you’ll see your website listed in Enhance and ready to manage.
- 🔗 Domain must resolve to the selected server in Enhance for SSL (Let's Encrypt) to be issued.
- 📧 Email accounts might need to be recreated if the backup does not restore them.
- 🛠️ If using a CMS like WordPress, ensure that
wp-config.php
is updated with the correct database settings.
- 🚫 SSH-based imports are not supported for standard users.
